Vivian Tan
Vice President, Strategic Information Management and Global Relationships, Kaiser Permanente
In her vice president role, Vivian Tan works closely with the chief financial officer and the chairman and CEO. Vivian provides strategic leadership for the decision support team in defining, developing, aligning, and advancing the organization’s overall information strategy program with analytics and insights that allow key decisionmakers to get “the right information at the right time” and make the best decisions. Additionally, Vivian manages the organization’s partnership with the World Economic Forum and advises the chief strategy officer on broader international strategy. Earlier, Vivian led multiple transformation efforts driving Kaiser Permanente’s national strategy in partnership with all regions and functions. She identified, analyzed, and interpreted health care trends, organizational strategies, strategic investments, and Kaiser Permanente’s overall market and competitive position.
Karin Cooke
Director, Kaiser Permanente International
Karin Cooke designs educational programs and presentations for international health care leaders to share Kaiser Permanente’s leading practices and success with an integrated health care model. Prior to joining KP International in 2018, Karin was a director with Kaiser Permanente’s Technology Innovation, a group that identifies emerging technologies that are relevant for Kaiser Permanente and partners with KP leaders and frontline innovators to test solutions that can transform how the organization delivers care. Karin led a cross-functional team that fostered innovation projects from across the organization through funding, design coaching, pilot design, navigation of legal and intellectual property issues, and stakeholder engagement. Karin has a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA.
