Ricardo Jimenez-Kimble, MD

Ricardo Jimenez-Kimble, MD, is a partner physician in Family Medicine/Adult Primary Care, working with the Southern California Permanente Medical Group since 2011. In addition to his practice of Preventive and Same-Day Care, Ricardo has been involved with several innovation projects at Kaiser Permanente South Bay, including the Millennial Project and Video Visit creation and implementation in the region.
Having grown up in countries such as Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, and Peru, Ricardo recognizes the importance of fostering diversity and cultural competence in medicine, thus involving himself in the leadership and symposia of South Bay’s Culturally Responsive Care committee. He regularly teaches and mentors medical and nurse practitioner students in his Primary Care clinic in the South Bay.
Ricardo obtained a bachelor’s degree in biology from Harvard University, his medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine, and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Columbia University. Then he moved to the Los Angeles area and joined the Kaiser Permanente family, where he has worked ever since.
