Bill joined the Colorado Permanente Medical Group (CPMG) in 1989. He was the physician-in-charge at Kaiser Permanente Arapahoe Medical Offices and then served as associate medical director (AMD) of operations for Denver/Boulder. From 2003 to 2007, Bill was AMD of resource stewardship and innovation. From 2007 to 2015, Bill held several leadership roles at CPMG: chief operating officer, senior vice president of business operations and service, AMD of market and member experience, and vice president and chief of staff. In 2015, Bill joined The Permanente Federation as the associate executive director of government relations and care delivery IT.
Bill graduated from the University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio. He completed his pediatric residency in Oklahoma City at Children’s Hospital and a fellowship in allergy/immunology and pediatric pulmonary medicine at National Jewish Hospital in Denver. Bill was in private practice for five years before joining Kaiser Permanente.
