Gustavo is a seasoned leader with deep experience leading large teams in mobile and web development, architecture, and delivery.

Having joined KP in 2020 and served multiple leadership roles throughout KP Digital thus far, including VP for Enterprise Architecture and interim VP for Capabilities and Platforms engineering, Gustavo has gained keen insight into the inner workings of Kaiser Permanente and what it will take to transform our experience engineering capabilities to meet the evolving digital healthcare needs. This, along with his strong focus on culture, communication, and accountability will be instrumental in the next stage of our transformation.

Gustavo’s strong technology background and leadership skills focuses in software architecture and development, infrastructure design and implementation, application security, mobile development and agile methodologies and process improvement.

Before joining KP Gustavo served as VP of Software Engineering of Xfinity Mobile at Comcast NBCUniversal where he successfully launched the Xfinity Mobile technology platform, adding over 2 million new wireless lines within he first three years. Similarly, while managing the eCommerce technology and Omnichannel innovation of Sears Holdings Corporation, Gustavo oversaw all engineering aspects of m.sears.com--the best performing site of its time—earning a 40% increase in revenue per visit and increasing revenue 101% in one year. Finally, Gustavo directed the technology and global mobile solution architecture of Staples, Inc., including mobile web, tablet web, iPhone, Android, and Windows8 apps for customer-facing and enterprise applications.

Coming to KP, Gustavo is excited about the opportunity to help make a lasting impact in healthcare, seeing technology as a key driver to make good on our promise to improve the outcomes in the communities we serve.

Gustavo is originally from a small town in Argentina, but counts Miami, FL as the true home of his heart. He, his wife and two kids all love to get outdoors and travel and have visited 32 countries so far.
