Title 1: Vice President, Community Health
In this role, Stephanie leads all aspects of operations and core community health initiatives for Kaiser Permanente. She reports directly to Kaiser Permanente’s chair and chief executive officer and is a member of the National Executive Team.

Stephanie Ledesma is accountable for all core community health initiatives including economic opportunity and affordable housing efforts, and Kaiser Permanente’s Thriving Schools and environmental stewardship programs. She also oversees community health operations including grant-making, medical financial assistance and charity care, and support for safety net community health systems.

Stephanie has 25 years of experience in operations management and information technology leadership. Most recently, she served as vice president for community health operations, leading the effort to align community health programs across the enterprise.

Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, she was chief operating officer at Aetna Better Health of Pennsylvania, where she had responsibility for a nearly $1 billion Medicaid health plan. She also led the implementation of key social health programs assisting community members with healthy eating, diabetes management, and medically tailored meals, as well as interventions addressing substance abuse and the intergenerational cycles of poverty.

Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in information technology from Lindenwood University, St. Charles, Missouri, and a Master of Science in applied analytics from Saint Louis University. She was recognized in 2018 as a top 100 Latino leader by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Governor’s Advisory Commission on Latino Affairs.
