Prue previously served as vice president of government affairs for the National Association for Home Care & Hospice and as director of federal relations for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. During the passage and implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Prue worked in the U.S. Senate. As health policy adviser for U.S. Senator Mark Begich, she advised him on all matters relating to the ACA, as well as other health policy and education issues. Prue currently serves as a member of the board of directors for the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. She received a bachelor's degree in government from the University of Virginia and a master’s of public health in health policy from the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health.
